Evridiki (Maria) Barka is a PhD student and researcher at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Her area of expertise is the removal of micropollutants through physicochemical and biological systems. Her research includes the assessment of eco-friendly and innovative materials, like nano-zero valent iron and biochar, for the removal of organic micropollutants from water and wastewater. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and Association of Civil Engineers of Greece.
