INNO4CFIs in brief
The INNO4CFIs project aims to enhance carbon farming initiatives through nature-based business models and emerging innovations while preserving biodiversity, water security and soil health. It promotes reforestation and sustainable land management (agroforestry) to maximize carbon sequestration and environmental benefits. The project supports the adoption of innovative carbon farming technologies by SMEs through an Interregional Market Uptake Hub, facilitating their market integration and connection with European energy communities.
Using the WEFE Nexus methodology, it ensures a balanced approach to water, energy, food, and environmental sustainability. Advanced AI, satellite observation, and blockchain technologies are integrated to improve monitoring, verification, and transparency. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the project’s goal is to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems.
