Ilias Chatzimpalis is a PhD candidate at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. He is a graduate of the Civil Engineering School of the University of Thessaly and also holds a master’s degree on Water Resources Science and Technology by the NTUA. His doctoral studies focus on water and wastewater bioremediation methods through the use of microalgae and upscaling approaches to groundwater purification as part of the Demo 9 case of the Horizon EU CARDIMED project.
