Join us for a collaborative webinar hosted by the BIODAPH2O project, in partnership with UPWATER, to explore Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for improving water quality. This session will take you through the journey of NBS from the lab to pilot scale, and from pilot scale to broader implementation.
What will you learn?
The challenges we face when implementing Nature-Based Solutions.
The lessons we have learned through real-world applications and case studies.
Expert insights from both the BIODAPH2O and UPWATER projects, sharing their experiences and knowledge.
Topics of Focus:
BIODAPH Technology: A nature-based, eco-efficient tertiary treatment for wastewater, demonstrated at our two pilot sites in Lesvos Island (Greece) and Girona (Spain). This technology has played a crucial role in:
Reducing pollutants (such as nutrients, emerging contaminants, pathogens, and microplastics) in freshwater ecosystems.
Supplying high-quality reclaimed water for agricultural irrigation.
UPWATER Technologies: Focused on innovative NBS, such as MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor), biofilters, floating rootmats, and bioelectrochemical wetlands. These solutions are designed to treat and purify water, ensuring safe and contaminant-free recharge of aquifers.
