Vaggelis Statiris is a PhD candidate at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. He is an Environmental engineer and his area of expertise is the application of novel technologies and processes for wastewater treatment and reuse. His research includes the application of biological processes for nutrients removal from high strength wastewater, as well as the treatment of conventional domestic wastewater by combining anaerobic digestion technologies and nature-based solutions.
