SEL NTUA has a leading role in advancing climate-related water resilience, by addressing the interconnected crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and water cycle disruption.
Recognizing the urgent need to safeguard water as a vital resource for future generations, ecosystems, and the economy, our team develops innovative strategies to enhance sustainable water management and mitigate the challenges of climate change, pollution, and ecosystem degradation. Our research integrates cutting-edge water reuse technologies, real-time monitoring systems, and nature-based solutions, to promote water circularity and optimize resources management.

By integrating cutting-edge applied research on the ground with policy analysis we identify gaps and opportunities in existing technologies, frameworks, and policies, ensuring that our innovations align with and inform evidence-based decision-making processes. Strategic planning is at the heart of our climate-related water resilience approach, enabling us to design and implement long-term solutions that balance environmental, social, and economic priorities at the local, regional, national, and EU levels.
